Why is the pool turtle-shaped?

Representing the “Aquarium of the World” that sits off the shores of the resort, the pool at Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto is shaped like a sea turtle. In many cultures, sea turtles are symbolic of longevity and the perseverance and protection required to live a long, healthy life. They are also symbolic of retreat, healing, and tranquility, three elements that you’ll find day in and day out at Villa del Palmar Loreto. When viewed from above, one can clearly see the body, four legs, and head of the turtle. Unlike most hotel pools, the pool at this resort is green in color and has decorative lines that resemble the turtle’s shell.

How many pools does Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto have?

There are five different pools at Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto and a jacuzzi that combine to form a sea turtle when viewed from above. The main pool, which is free for everyone to use, is the main body of the turtle. It is the deepest of the pools, measuring 4 feet deep, and is spacious so that you and your family can spread out on their vacation. The head of the turtle is a kid’s pool and a splash pad that is ideal for smaller members and guests because it is only 1 foot, 30 centimeters deep. An adult’s only pool, an activities pool, a heated jacuzzi, and an Elite Member’s pool make up each of the four legs.

What are the resort’s pool hours?

Pool access is from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and the pools are open year-round. Given the amazing weather in Loreto, the pools remain refreshing, neither too cold or too warm throughout the day. They are climatized to ensure a comfortable temperature 365 days a year.
